Persons wishing to visit the Consulate General for immigration services may do so Monday through Friday. Applications for visitor visas must be submitted between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm; general enquiries may be made between 9:30 and 4:30.

Visa Requirements

Visitors are permitted to land for a stay not exceeding three months provided they have in their possession a valid passport duly visaed, return or onward passage tickets and adequate funds.
Issuance of visa requires at least one month.
No fee is claimed for issuance of visa.
Application form should be sent with:
(a) Passport, (copy of data pages)
(b) a self-addressed stamped envelope and
(c) proof of possession of ticket covering return to point of departure or onward
destination (certificate from travel agent).
(d) 2 passport sized photographs.
(e) Hotel booking or letter of invitation.
(f) Photocopy of passport page with date of birth.
(g) Copy of US visa where applicable.

No visa is required by holder of British passports being "Citizens of the United Kingdom and Colonies", nationals of Australia, Antigua, Bahamas, Bahrain, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Botswana, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominica, Finland, France, Gambia, German Federal Republic, Ghana, Greece, Grenada, Guyana, Iceland, Ireland (Rep. of), Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kiribati, Kuwait, Lesotho, Luxembourg, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Nauru, Nertherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Samao (western), Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Island, South African Republic, Spain, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey, Tuvalu, Uganda, Emirates, United States of America, Vanuatu, Zambia, Zimbabwe and by passengers continuing their journey to a third country by the same plane.
Nationals of all other countries require a visa to enter Mauritius.
Indian Nationals : Original passport required.

Health Requirements:

Smallpox - no vaccination certificate required;
Yellow Fever - a certificate is required from travellers over infected areas;
Cholera - no vaccination certificate required.
